We are currently welcoming veterinary student externs at Northeast Equine Veterinary Dental Services! Equine dentistry is a relatively new and constantly evolving area of study. Our veterinarians love teaching and look forward to exposing students to both routine and advanced procedures. 

During the externship, we hope that veterinary students are able to gain or improve the ability to:

• Perform a thorough oral exam

• Recognize and identify oral pathology

• Learn appropriate charting and numbering techniques

• Obtain diagnostic skull radiographs

• Become familiar with a wide variety of equipment options available

• Effectively communicate with clients

• Appreciate the importance of client education

Priority will be given to equine focused 3rd and 4th year vet students.
